Youth Mentorship Program – Mogadishu, Somalia

Empowering Somali Youth Through Mentorship, Knowledge & Connection

Addressing Gaps, Creating Opportunities

Somalia’s youth face significant challenges due to the lack of adequate support systems. Limited access to education, employment, and social services has resulted in a cycle of marginalization and disenfranchisement. In response, Midaynta Community Services has expanded its proven youth mentorship model into Mogadishu.

By implementing a structured mentorship program in Somalia’s capital, we aim to equip youth with the tools and confidence needed to thrive personally and professionally—breaking barriers and building futures.

Mirroring a Proven Model: From Toronto to Mogadishu

This initiative mirrors the successful “Rites of Passage” Youth Mentorship Program that Midaynta Community Services has delivered in Northwest Toronto for over a decade. By adapting this culturally responsive and outcomes-driven model, we are replicating the positive impact we’ve seen in Canada—empowering African youth through mentorship, identity-building, and community connection.
