The Student and Family Advocate (SFA) provides targeted, community-based, and culturally relevant advocacy support to Black students and their families.Student and Family Advocate (SFA) provides support that includes but not limited to:
Building self-advocacy skills
Attending meetings with teachers, guidance counselors, and school administrators.
Empowering Black students and families with the knowledge and skills to navigate and advocate for their rights within the Ontario school system.
Recognizing racial profiling and anti-black incidents in students schools, education, careers, and life pathways.
SFA will Support Black students aged 6- 13 and 14- 18 years old in the northwest of Toronto and Etobicoke Area.
