The Student and Family Advocate (SFA) provides targeted, community-based, and culturally relevant advocacy support to Black students and their families.
Student and Family Advocate (SFA) provides support that includes but not limited to:
- Building self-advocacy skills
- Empowering Black students and families with the knowledge and skills to navigate and advocate for their rights within the Ontario school system.
- Attending meetings with teachers, guidance counselors, and school administrators.
- Recognizing racial profiling and anti-black incidents in students schools, education, careers, and life pathways.
SFA will Support Black students aged 6- 13 and 14- 18 years old in the northwest of Toronto and Etobicoke Area.
