Enhanced (Clinical) Youth Outreach Worker

The Enhanced (Clinical) Youth Outreach Worker Program provides dedicated support to East African, Muslim, and Black youth who are disadvantaged or at high risk, as well as their families. The program serves youth between the ages of 12 and 25 with the goal of reducing risk factors and preventing involvement in violence.

In order to ensure youth, 12-25 years old, meet their unique needs, our EYOW provides short-term counselling and support services based on the Stages of Change intervention model:

Assist youth in addressing challenges related to mental health, addictions, school, and family conflicts.

Reduce risk factors and prevent involvement in violence among East African, Muslim, and Black youth.

Strengthen family relationships and support systems to create safer and healthier communities.

Support youth in identifying their needs, goals, aspirations, skills, and abilities, while addressing barriers to accessing services.

Promote the mental, emotional, and social well-being.

Provide culturally responsive services that meet the unique needs of youth and their families.
