The Student and Family Advocate (SFA) provides targeted, community-based, and culturally relevant advocacy support to Black students and their families.<\/h3><\/h1><\/div>Student and Family Advocate (SFA) provides support that includes but not limited to:<\/p>\n
\n- Building self-advocacy skills<\/li>\n
- Empowering Black students and families with the knowledge and skills to navigate and advocate for their rights within the Ontario school system.<\/li>\n
- Attending meetings with teachers, guidance counselors, and school administrators.<\/li>\n
- Recognizing racial profiling and anti-black incidents in students schools, education, careers, and life pathways.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
SFA will Support Black students aged 6- 13 and 14- 18 years old in the northwest of Toronto and Etobicoke Area.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
